Wednesday. A gentleman in a very good suit asked me today whether he would be expected to crawl. I said that depended on how badly he wanted to know what was at the other end.
The Perth study has a crawl space. I did not design it; the Doctor would never crawl anywhere, as it creases the trousers. It is there for those who like that sort of thing, and those who do not may simply let a teammate go and report back. Nobody is made to crawl. I would not allow that either.
His wife asked about tight spaces in general, as she does not care for them. I told her the truth: in Perth there is the crawl space, which can be skipped, and she should mention it at check-in. In Manly there is nothing tight or cramped at all. The Manly study is the sort of room in which one can faint comfortably, should one wish to.
In the end it was the gentleman in the suit who went through, and he came out delighted and covered in dust. I offered him the duster. He declined. Some people do not know a kindness when they see one.
